Prime Minister meets ICRC delegation in Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 4 (Saba) - Prime Minister Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtour met on Tuesday with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)'s delegation to Yemen Franz Rauchenstein.

At the meeting, the officials discussed a number of the aspects related to the humanitarian and health activities and also a vital role played by the ICRC towards the prisoners exchange deals.

Bin Habtour touched on the ICRC's role in briefing the international community on the humanitarian consequences resulting of the ongoing closure of Sana'a International Airport by the Saudi-led aggression coalition.

The prime minister praised the ICRC's efforts in alleviating the suffering of citizens during the current exceptional circumstance, affirming that his government would provide all facilities to over difficulties facing the ICRC staff.

Meanwhile, the ICRC official stressed on the importance of enhancing cooperation with the authorities concerned with the humanitarian aspect, urging the coalition countries to lift the siege on Sanaa international airport.
