Speaker of Parliament meets Chairman, members of SNACC

SANAA, Aug. 31 (Saba) - Speaker of Parliament Yahya Ali al-Ra'i stressed the need to overcome the difficulties that hinder the functioning of the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission in accordance with the laws.

During his meeting held on Sunday with the Chairman of the SNACC Dr. Mohammed al-Ghashem, his deputy Salim al-Sayani, and members of the SNACC, the Speaker of Parliament indicated the importance of strengthening coordination, cooperation, and integration among all regulatory agencies in the country.

Al-Ra'i welcomed any proposals made by the government regarding amending some paragraphs and legal articles required by the public interest in a way that contributes to finding solutions for overlaps and weaknesses and shortcomings.

He stressed the importance of uniting efforts to counter the aggression and its tools and cooperate in pursuing the file of massacres and war crimes committed by the Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition against the Yemeni people before international courts.

The Speaker of Parliament congratulated the victories achieved by the heroes of the army and the popular committees in the face of the aggression coalition and its tools -Al Qaeda and ISIS.

The Chairman and members of SNACC reviewed the role of the commission in playing in its tasks in combating corruption and the importance of cooperation between regulatory bodies in the light of the law.

They noted the difficulties and obstacles that hindered the work of the Commission because of the overlapping terms of reference with some regulatory bodies.
