Riu Dubai resort and splash park opens at Nakheel’s Deira Islands
Nakheel/RIU joint venture brings new hospitality concept to UAE 800-room, all-inclusive beach resort is RIU’s 100th property worldwide
DUBAI: The 800-key Riu Dubai at Deira Islands is finally open, branding itself as the emirate’s first four-star, 24-hour all-inclusive beachfront resort.
The project, a joint venture between developer Nakheel and Spain’s RIU Hotels & Resorts, is the first attraction to open at Deira Islands which is comprised of four man-made islands located adjacent to Dubai’s Deira district.
Riu Dubai is the Spanish hotel chain’s first resort in the Middle East and its 100th property worldwide and boasts of rooms and suits with abundant sea views and dining and leisure facilities.
There are 10 food and beverage outlets, a splash park, three swimming pools, two children’s pools, water sports, a fitness center, beauty salon and children’s club, a statement from the hotel said.
