Parliament stresses importance of strategic planning in preparing visions
SANA'A, Jan. 10 (Saba) - Parliament Speaker Yahya al-Ra'i stressed on Saturday the importance of organizing and planning in preparing visions, programs and plans.
At the opening of a workshop on defining the stages of preparing the national vision organized by the General Secretariat of the Parliament in cooperation with the Central Statistical Organization (CSO), al-Ra'i pointed out the importance of the role of the Parliament in the legislative fields through its standing committees specialized in following up on the implementation of the national vision.
He urged the participants to take advantage of the workshop to enhance performance in preparing visions, stressing the importance of interaction, participation, and uniting efforts to implement the national vision in the short and long term.
The workshop dealt with indicators for measuring strategic goals, results-based planning, and linking goals with indicators.
It dealt with the first stages of preparing the national vision and the importance of mobilizing efforts and energies for the success of the second phase of the vision and linking individual goals with collective goals.
The workshop included aspects related to preparing a vision as a national strategic plan to enhance steadiness in the face of aggression and its tools.
