Deputy FM meets WFP resident representative
SANA'A, Jan. 25 (Saba) - Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi met here on Sunday with Resident Representative of the World Food Programme in Sana'a Laurent Bukera.
During the meeting, al-Ezzi and Bukera reviewed the activities of the Programme and means of providing more support and doubling the level of coordination to facilitate the implementation of activities and projects related to the programme.
Al-Ezzi stressed the ministry and other state institutions are keen to support the efforts of humanitarian offices and programs in Yemen, foremost among which are the activities of the WPF to ensure the achievement of its humanitarian goals in accordance with the principles of transparency in the humanitarian work.
On his part, Bukera indicated the WFP exerts more efforts to provide humanitarian services to the affected in Yemen.
He affirmed the WFP’s readiness to cooperate and coordinate with the national authorities in order to contribute effectively to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis.
