SAADA, Feb. 10 (Saba) – Saada governor, Muhammad Jaber Awad, discussed on Wednesday with UNICEF Resident Representative in Yemen, Philippe Duamelle, the organization’s interventions in implementing projects in the province.

In the meeting, Governor Awad referred to the importance of doubling UNICEF support for education, sanitation and services projects for the year 2021 in the governorate.

He urged UNICEF to increase its activities and programs during the current year, considering UNICEF's participation in the sanitation project as the biggest imprint it offers to the governorate.

Meanwhile, UNICEF Resident Representative Philippe confirmed that UNICEF will continue to support the province in various fields, especially programs related to Saada children, specifically the fields of education, health and water.

In the meeting, the President of the Republican Hospital Authority in the province, Dr. Saleh Qurban, and the Director of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation, Muhammad al-Saadi, presented a report on the stalled projects that were not adopted by UNICEF at the Water Corporation and the discontinuation of the authority's employee's incentives.
