(Saba) - Sana'a Water and Sanitation Local Corporation (SWSLC) on Thursday warned of a health and environmental disaster due to the aggression's nonstop detention of oil ships.

The corporation confirmed, in a statement, that the continued detention of fuel ships will deprive around 7 million citizens of the capital of drinking water and stop the sewage treatment plant, which will cause an environmental disaster and outbreaks of epidemics and diseases.

The statement condemned the aggression's unending prevention of the entry of oil ships to Hodeida port, holding the United Nations, the international community and the aggression coalition responsible for any humanitarian catastrophe.

It also called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to play their humanitarian role and immediately intervene to lift the blockade, allow the entry of fuel ships and prevent their detention in the future.
