Swiss MSF health interventions in Jawf discussed

JAWF, Feb. 16 (Saba) - A meeting held in al-Hazm district in Jawf province discussed the MSF implementation of the emergency project at al-Hazm General Hospital Authority.

The meeting gathered the director of the health office, Abdulaziz Omair, the director of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs branch, Khaled Shaje', and the Swiss representative of Doctors Without Borders.

In the meeting, Omair indicated that Jawf lacks sustainable health projects, pointing out that the implementation of such a project will have a great impact on strengthening the health sector and providing medical services to patients.

For his part, Shaje' welcomed the Swiss MSF's health interventions in supporting the health sector in Jawf, stressing that the Council is ready to cooperate and facilitate the humanitarian tasks in the province.

He called on all humanitarian organizations to visit the province and intervene in the health sector in order to meet the health needs to alleviate the suffering of society.

In turn, the Swiss MSF representative confirmed that she will work with the Health Office in Jawf and the Hospital Authority in al-Hazm so as to expand health interventions in a way that contributes to strengthening the capabilities of the health sector.
