Prosthetics centre begins rehabilitation of 50 Yemenis
Muscat – A prosthetics centre in Salalah engaged in providing war-injured Yemenis with prosthetic limbs and helping them get back on their feet, has started rehabilitation of 50 new beneficiaries.
Arabian Prosthetics Centre (APC) has continued its mission over the years and till now
has rehabilitated 750 injured Yemenis.
A statement issued by APC said that the centre has started rehabilitation of 50 wounded Yemenis in its 12th batch.
According to Wahab al Amer, director of APC, the injured, including women and children, receive medical care and prosthetic limbs at the centre. A specialised technical team trains the injured to use their new prosthetic limbs.
The centre also said that its role has been praised by SAM for Rights and Liberties, a Geneva-based non-profit organisation.
