Al-Thawra hospital holds medical event on World Diabetes Day

HODEIDA November 14. 2022 (Saba) - Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Hodeida province on Monday launched a three-day diagnostic and awareness-raising event on the occasion of World Diabetes Day.

At the opening of the event, Chairman of the Authority Khaled Suhail pointed out the importance of spreading a health culture about diabetes and contributing to educating the community about ways to prevent the disease.

Suhail explained that the event includes providing patient examination services, medical examinations and dispensing of medicines for free, in addition to providing recommendations and consultations from pharmacy and clinical nutrition specialists.

He said that the event also includes educational and awareness activities, medical consultations, presentation of healthy sugar-free alternatives, and healthy foods useful for diabetics.

Suhail pointed out that the clinical pharmacy and clinical nutrition specialists at the authority educated patients on a daily basis in various medical wards and direct them to the importance of adhering to healthy foods.
