PM: Developing technical education is national necessity

SANA'A, June 29 (Saba) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Tuesday stressed that developing of technical education and vocational training is a national necessity to address the problem of unemployment and serve the objectives of economic and social development.

During his meeting in Sana'a with leaders of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training, the Prime Minister praised the Ministry's efforts, its plan for developing the sector and its openness to strengthening partnership with the private sector working in the training field.

The meeting discussed the coordination and preparation for the 11th international conference on the future vision of education and training to be held in Sana'a next November.

The quality assurance project for trainers at the level of the Republic was also discussed during the meeting, in addition to aspects of developing the partnership between the training centers of the Ministry and the Arab Board.

It was agreed to form a joint working group from the Ministry and the Arab Board to prepare for the international conference.
